Rent a Longarm Quilter
Fee: $20/hr
Bring in your projects and use our longarm quilter.
Our frame is a 12' Summit Frame, a professional longarm frame.
The 17" Fun Quilter has a hopping foot, and an Intellistitch stitch length regulator for even stitches. It has handles in the front or rear for pantograph work. It also has a thick template foot for ruler or shape template work.
About Longarm Rentals:
For your first quilt: you should schedule about 3 hours. It may not take that long, but it is better not to be caught short of time. For your first rental you should choose a simple project. It can be large, but plan on quilting a simple, allover design. We can help you select your design.
We will load a small sample quilt sandwich on the frame, and practice using the machine with you. We will also help you choose an appropriate quilting pattern and thread if desired. Next, we will help you load your quilt onto the frame. This will take approximately 1/2 hour depending on the size of your quilt.
After loading, we will help you start quilting, and will be available for as much help as you need during your quilting.
A simple meander on a queen size quilt should take between 2-3 hours. A great savings over sending your quilts to be quilted.
The success of your quilt depends entierly on the amount of time and patience you are willing to give it. You are learning a new skill and building your confidence. Have fun!
If you have already used a longarm quilter: The length of time your project takes depends on the complexity of your design. Custom quilting, multiple thread colors, frequent stops and starts will lenghten the time of your quilting, but they will result in a very beautiful project. If you would like to schedule multiple days in advance, we will hold the frame open for you and you can leave your project on the frame overnight. For experienced quilters, we can schedule rental times outside of store hours, such as early mornings, or evenings.
Call 1-262-377-0345, email info@material-matters.com or stop in to schedule your rental.
